Outcomes of the Final Phase

We're pleased to announce the results of the final phase of the 2025 Women Orchestra auditions, which took place on June 15, 2025, at Martha – Music Art House Academy, Via Siracusa 32 in Palermo.
We understand the anticipation and dedication shown by all candidates who reached this stage. The quality of the performances was remarkable, making the selection process quite challenging.

RESULT OF THE PRELIMINARY AUDITION

Following the evaluation of the video materials submitted for the preliminary phase of the 2025 Women Orchestra auditions, we hereby publish the official list of candidates admitted to the final round.
The final selection will take place on June 15, 2025 in Palermo, at Martha – Music Art House Academy, Via Siracusa 32.

Women Orchestra launches a public selection through auditions, aimed at creating a ranking list for future artistic and project-based collaborations.

Auditions are open for the following orchestral positions:

• Principal Flute with section duties
• Second Flute with Piccolo duties
• Principal Oboe with section duties
• Second Oboe with English Horn duties
• Principal Clarinet with section and E♭ Clarinet duties
• Second Clarinet with Bass Clarinet duties
• Principal Horn with third horn duties
• Second and Fourth Horn with section duties
• Principal Trumpet with Piccolo Trumpet and section duties
• Section Trumpet
• Principal Trombone with section duties
• Concertmaster (First Violins) with section duties
• Section Violin
• Principal Second Violin with section duties
• Principal Viola with section duties
• Section Viola
• Principal Cello with section duties
• Section Cello
• Principal Double Bass
• Section Double Bass with low C extension (5th string)
• Harp
• Electric Guitar
• Electric Bass
• Piano
• Keyboards/Synth
• Drums
• Percussion

Applicants must be at least 18 years old by the application deadline and must have no criminal convictions or ongoing legal proceedings. A first- or second-level academic music degree (or international equivalent) related to the chosen instrument is required. In the absence of such a degree, admission to the audition will be evaluated by the commission. Candidates must also be physically fit to perform professional orchestral activities both on-site and off-site.

To participate in the audition, it is necessary to send the application by June 10, 2025 to the email address info.womenorchestra@gmail.com. The application must include the fully completed Attachment A and a brief artistic curriculum, indicating studies, artistic experiences, and main appointments. It is possible to apply for multiple roles, but only with a single application, clearly specifying the desired positions. Incomplete requests or those sent in a different way will not be considered.
